Woven in the heart of Karnataka  the ancient art of Ilkal.

The Ilkal saree is one of India's most distinctive handwoven traditions, originating from the town of Ilkal in Bagalkot district, Karnataka. Recognized with a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, each saree is a testament to centuries of craft passed down through generations of weaver families.

What makes Ilkal truly unique is its signature tope teni technique  where the body and pallu are woven separately and then joined with an interlocking thread, creating a seamless yet structurally distinct border. The iconic red-and-white contrast border, known as chikki paras, is the hallmark of an authentic Ilkal weave.

Crafted from a cotton-silk blend, Ilkal sarees are lightweight, breathable, and drape beautifully making them as practical as they are exquisite. This April–May 2026 edit brings together our finest Ilkal pieces, curated for the season.

Heritage on the loom. Elegance in every thread.
