We call this our Folk Ilkal.

The base is handloom Ilkal from northern Karnataka  cotton body, silk pallu, joined by hand with the Kondi technique that gives Ilkal its signature contrast border.

On it we added Kasuti, the running stitch folk embroidery of Karnataka. Not as surface decoration but as storytelling.

  • Peacock — for grace
  • Lotus & Mallige — for bloom
  • Chimni sparrow — for the everyday joy that folk craft always remembers

Color: Iron brown with mustard and leaf green Gayatri border. Blouse in solid green with border detail. Potli included, cut from the same weave.

Each piece carries the hands of weaver and embroiderer. No two motifs sit exactly the same.
