Indigo checks meet a rich maroon border in an anarkali that brings together Ilkal handloom and Hand Kasuti, two GI crafts of Karnataka. A deep dori back lets the heritage move with you.

The handloom

The base is our Ilkal handloom from Karnataka, a weaving tradition from Bagalkot dating back to the 8th century AD, known for its cotton checks and Tope Teni temple borders.

The hand embroidery

The border features Hand Kasuti, Karnataka’s 6th century embroidery from the Chalukya dynasty. No tracing, no knots. Just four stitches, Gavanti, Murugi, Negi and Menthi, counted on the weave.

Look closely for Aane, Navilu and folk motifs drawn from temple gopuras and everyday village life.
