A celebration of Karnataka's most beloved folk embroidery  this Kasuti hand embroidered silk potli is worked entirely by hand in the running-stitch tradition of Kasuti, one of India's oldest textile arts. The crimson silk base is covered in a dense field of white, green, and brown thread work: a central elephant motif surrounded by geometric borders, diamond lattice, and stylised floral patterns, all executed in the characteristic double-running stitch of Kasuti. The drawstring is finished with vivid purple silk tassels for a pop of festive colour.
