Rooted in the ancient weaving traditions of Karnataka, the Crimson Gingham Kurta Set is a celebration of handloom cotton at its most refined. Woven by skilled artisans on traditional pit looms, this set carries the living legacy of a craft passed down through generations.
The Craft
The fine red-and-white gingham check is woven with quiet precision, its rhythm set by the steady beat of the loom. A bold multi-stripe zari border in teal, gold, and green runs along the hem, cuffs, and dupatta edges a hallmark of Karnataka's weaving heritage. The keyhole neckline is further elevated with delicate hand-embroidered gold zari motifs, adding a layer of artisanal richness to the woven base.
The Silhouette
The long kurta features a graceful open-back scoop silhouette, full sleeves with embroidered zari cuffs, and a flowing hem. Paired with wide-leg palazzo pants in the same gingham with a matching zari border, the set moves beautifully and is designed for both comfort and occasion dressing. A sheer dupatta with a wide woven border and a coordinating potli bag complete the ensemble.
