Three Fabrics, One Extraordinary Half Saree

This is a half saree that understands contrast. The lehenga skirt and blouse are woven in Ilkal's signature silk-cotton blend a fabric that carries the lustre of silk and the breathability of cotton, making it as comfortable to wear as it is beautiful to behold. The deep wine base is grounded and rich, the kind of colour that photographs like a dream and wears even better in person.

The border is where the drama begins. Wide stripes of magenta and gold zari run the length of the lehenga, bold and architectural, a hallmark of Karnataka's Ilkal weaving tradition. And then the dupatta  a sweep of blush organza, sheer and luminous, that transforms the drape into something almost ethereal. The blouse is woven in the same deep wine silk-cotton, with a clean open back and a delicate zari trim at the sleeve hem.
