The skirt is woven in the distinctive Ilkal style, known for its rich silk body and contrasting cotton-silk border, while the dupatta draws from the fine Molkalmuru silk tradition — lightweight, lustrous, and woven with delicate motifs. Every inch of embroidery is worked by hand using the traditional Kasuti technique, featuring geometric patterns in running stitch that have adorned Karnataka's finest textiles for centuries.
